Microsolidarity update... join us this summer!
MOSS, Summer camps, a course, a residency and thoughts on community-building
Welcome to the June Microsolidarity update that reaches you in… July. Well, it’s summer!
It’s time to meet - virtually today, IRL in the US in two weeks and in Europe in eight weeks. Scroll down for all the details, links to juicy Microsolidarity community sharings, and course offerings at the end.
The MOSS is back...TODAY
Meet and mingle with others in the Network later today (4th July) in our 2nd Microsolidarity Open Space Sessions!
The MOSS is an online ‘unconference’ - we’ll co-create an agenda for practicing mutual support, skill sharing, and having the conversations we want to have with other community-building wizards, vibe magicians, network weavers and friends.
Join us for the whole time, or drop in just for part of the event.
When: Thursday 4 July 2024 18:00-21:00 CET / 9:00 - 12:00 PDT.
Where: Zoom link: https://app.zoom.us/wc/6405690340/start?fromPWA=1 Meeting ID: 640 569 0340 Passcode: 939962

Microsolidarity Summer Camp EU - See you in 8 weeks!
Think sunshine, music, camp-fires, community-building geekery and other kinds of meaningful fun, in a beautiful location next to a forest. In microsolidarity fashion, we’ll co-create the programme and the vibes, so get yourself and other community-minded folk along.
❗If you know you’re intending to come, we appreciate it if you buy your ticket as soon as you can. This will be supportive of our planning. Find out more about what to expect here.
So far, we’ve provided a few scholarships and we’re hoping to support other pending requests from some eager and hopeful participants. We’d love the camp to be accessible for everyone in the Network to join, so if you’re in a position to do so, buying a higher tier summer camp ticket or making a donation via the ‘flexible contribution’ option on our Open Collective page* would be of great support!
Thanks a lot and hope to see you there.
The hosting crew,
Mirjam, Sarah, Alex & Jesse
*You can make a donation via ‘flexible contribution’ even if you don’t want to buy a ticket.

A course and a residency offer
👉 Jocelyn Ames is running a course 'Mediation Skills for Collaborative Teams'. It could be of real value to all the community building practitioners and enthusiasts here!
Jocelyn says: “I don't believe conflict is a sign that something is 'wrong' with us, but it can be a real vibe killer if we don't know how to approach it well. I love helping people learn how to "do conflict well" in their teams and communities, so I'm kicking off a new cohort of my course **Mediation Skills for Collaborative Teams**.
The first session took place this week already but if you haven’t registered yet, you can still do this, and catch up with the first session via the recording.

👉 Elkenmist running a 3 months residency starting mid-September. “We did one already this spring and learned a lot and we are ready to open it up now to more people interested in exploring and learning together.” The residency will be focusing on ecology & sense of place, art & culture, and community & spirituality – grounded in communal values of wonder, play, and solidarity.

That’s all for this month. Hope to see you at one of these upcoming events!
