đď¸ Microsolidarity Network November Update
On rituals, retrospectives, and more Microsolidarity magic
Hello everyone! November is here, and with the year-end holidays on the horizon, Gui and I have been reflecting on the power of rituals. When we do something repeatedly with intention - whether itâs how we share meals, gather for co-working sprints, or celebrate Christmas/summer holidays - weâre doing more than just repeating an action. Weâre building shared identity, saying âweâre united because weâre people who do this thing in this way.â
One ritual that runs deep in Microsolidarity practice is the retrospective: a regular pause to reflect together (or alone) on whatâs working, what isnât, and what we might want to shift. This simple practice cultivates a culture of attention and care around how we want to be together. As the year winds down, many of us feel drawn to take stock - to notice who weâre becoming and who we want to become. Rituals like retrospectives help us integrate change, honor whatâs been, and prepare for the cycle ahead. Do you have a favourite ritual or reflective template around this time of year? Weâd love to hear about it in the comments below!
P.S. If youâre looking for a supportive weekly reflection practice to clear mental and emotional clutter, Ivan Gonzalez and Nicki Endres have created this simple Weekly Review template. Or discover Bloomâs yearly self-reflection journal. And if youâre exploring retrospectives with your crew, check out the Retrospective card from our new Microsolidarity card deckâitâs designed to help groups build this powerful habit together.

Microsolidarity at âNot a Colivingâ
This winter, ten of us - nomads, semi-nomads, and a few whoâve dropped anchor - converged in the French Pyrenees with a shared hunger: to find belonging in a world that wonât sit still.
We came from different lives, different rhythms, but the same question pulled us here: What does community actually mean when youâre constantly moving, or choosing where to stay, or simply trying to keep up? We wanted to stop talking about connection and start building it.
Then came Wednesday. Cold, bright, the mountains sharp against the sky. During our regular check-in, something surfaced that had been hovering unspoken: we wanted to go deeper. Weâd had beautiful moments together, sure - but we kept defaulting to the full group of ten or retreating to our comfortable twos and threes. Many of us actually connect best in smaller, quieter spaces. We needed a nudge, a structure to help us break the pattern. The perfect moment to introduce Microsolidarity and host a little Troika - so I thought :)
Iâd been waiting for the right moment to pull out the card deck since I picked it up some months ago in Casa Tilo, and this was it. We divided into groups of three, followed the prompts, and let the practice do its work.
The result? People came back buzzing. Some unearthed thoughts they didnât know they had. Others rediscovered needs and feelings theyâd buried long ago. Even those whoâd never tried anything like this before walked away satisfied.
Gosh, I love a good Troika.
Greetings from the Pyrenees!
Mirjam

đ Stepping up to Congregating: Ready to Multiply the Magic?
Most of us have been crewing for a while now, and for some of us, our crews have become a place where we feel truly seen and supported in our growth.
Crews are where the magic happens most consistently. That size of 3-8 people is large enough to make something exciting happen, but small enough to be able to pay attention to group dynamics and relationships without getting overwhelmed by all the complexity.
But what happens when we crew our crews? Have you ever felt like taking it to the next step? Is 2026 your year to experiment with bringing larger groups of people together as a Congregation? Or maybe you are already part of a Congregation and looking for new inspiration.
If you are curious about the potential and impact that expanding into larger groups might create, we have a collection of very useful resources for Congregating on the Microsolidarity website.
